 “One of the most significant challenges was the logistics and risk management issues associated with organising and staging the In-Congress Tours – getting 1,500 people out of the city and back again during peak hour traffic on 35 buses travelling in different directions in South East Queensland. Not only did this go like clockwork, but the participants had a great time with positive feedback on both the forestry science and scenery.

The main highlight of the event was the ceremonial tree planting of the rare Wollemi Pine at South Bank which included Indigenous school children presenting stories and poems about what trees meant to them.”
